La pandémie de 2020 et les confinements qu’elle a engendrés ont été sources d’inspiration pour bien des artistes obligés de rester éloignés de l’atelier. De par son faible encombrement le papier est devenu à cette occasion une solution palliative. KILAT s’est quelque peu démarqué du flot en ne prenant pour sujet ni le virus, ni la maladie, ni les changements de mode de vie induits mais les[in]décisions prises par le pouvoir politique. Ses dessins ont été réalisés à l’automne 2020 et quelques-uns quoique prémonitoires restent rétrospectivement très en dessous de ce qui allait se passer au printemps et à l’été 2021. KILAT en a rassemblé une centaine pour publication dans le cadre d’un livre titré «Covidélire». Certains de ces dessins existent aussi en graffs sur des murs de Bordeaux et des environs comme l’en atteste un addenda photographique du livre. Les œuvres présentées ici sont des originaux que Galerie Anna-Tschopp s’est procurées parmi lesquels les pages 1 et 4 de couverture.

The 2020 pandemic and the lockdowns it engendered were a source of inspiration for many artists who were forced to stay away from their studios. On this occasion, dDue to its reduced size, the paper has become a palliative solution. KILAT stood out somewhat from the crowd by taking as its subject neither the virus, nor the disease, nor the induced changes in lifestyle but the [in]decisions of the political power. His drawings were made in the fall of 2020 and some, though prescient, remain in retrospect far below what would happen in the spring and summer of 2021. KILAT has gathered a hundred of them for publication as part of a book titled "Covidélire". Some of these drawings also exist in graffiti on walls in Bordeaux and the surrounding areas, as can be seen in a photographic addendum to the book. The works presented here are originals that Galerie Anna-Tschopp has obtained, among xhich are included pages 1 and 4 of cover.
